Ken Novak

Ken Novak has more than 25 years of experience in data network design and implementation. He’s currently consulting in cloud computing and data center operations.  Prior to his current consulting practice, he cofounded a software company called Replicate Technologies which specializes in networking of virtual systems.

Before that, Ken was CTO at CGNET, an innovative IT management company providing Software as a Service to non-profits around the globe. He travelled extensively, pioneering e-mail and Internet use in developing countries in Africa and Asia.

Ken has also been active in sustainable energy issues.  He served as a program assistant on climate change at the Clinton Global Initiative 2006-2008, and advises startups in energy efficiency.

Ken graduated from Yale University with a B.S. in Computer Science.  He was awarded a Reuters Foundation Digital Vision Fellow at Stanford University in 2001-2002, where he studied the evolving impact of energy issues and IT on development.  Ken is married with two sons in Palo Alto, CA.
