Matt Sharp

 

Matt Sharp is the Director of IT at The Duke Endowment in Charlotte, North Carolina. Matt served as Executive Director of SITIA in 2010 and 2011 and is currently a member of the SITIA board. Prior to SITIA, Matt was Director of Information Technology at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, serving as lead technologist from 1992 to 2010. His knowledge and expertise encompasses a range of tools and services including voice, data, video, physical and electronic security, international health and safety, and organizational resilience.

Matt received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University. Matt has presented on technology and communications topics for the Council on Foundations, the Technology Affinity Group, the Grants Managers Network, and the National Conference on Volunteering and Service.

  1. I was faced with the task of explaining how to bring order from chaos to some younger engineers who were growing in their systems perspective. Looking for how others presented this concept, I came across your presentation to the CGIAR IT managers meeting. I really enjoyed the PDF. Not exactly what I was looking for, but thought provoking. The voice in your presentation reminded me of a person I knew years ago, then I saw your bio photo. You look very similar to someone that spent a lot of time in aluminum canoes on mission bay.
